Toolkit development workshop materials

Published 2/10/2025

One of the key aims when developing the AlgoBias Toolkit was to ensure it was grounded in an understanding of organisational practice and processes, so that it can provide people with tools to help think through some of the challenging questions presented by organisational change. To provide a deeper understanding of my process and allow others to further benefit from this work, the resources used in the development of the AlgoBias Toolkit can be found on this page. This includes workshop materials from the workshops which formed the backbone of this work, which were designed to facilitate conversation about organisational processes which may help or hinder the development of algorithmic bias mitigation practices.

For a longer discussion about the process, I used to create the workshop materials, and convert the insights gained in these workshops into the materials in the AlgoBias Toolkit, a publication on the process is forthcoming.

In the meantime, if you have any questions regarding the process of developing these workshops and the toolkit itself, please email me at hadley.beresford[AT]sheffield.ac.uk.
